Download section :
1. Go to Desktop 🡪select STAAD.pro Icon and double click
2. Select new project 🡪 select plane 🡪 enter file name as “EXERCISE -1’’🡪Select file destination as “local disk D/ civil department/Rg.no 🡪Select the units as Meters, KiloNewtons 🡪 Click next.
3. Select add beam and Click finish.
4. Cut Snap Node/beam.
5.Enter coordinates of 1st node as (0, 0, 0).
6. Select node using node cursor.
7. Select Geometry 🡪 Translational repeat.
8.Select the direction as "X" 🡪 spacing as "2.5m" 🡪 number of steps as "6" 🡪 enable link steps. .
9. This the output of the translational repeat.
10.Select the nodes and right click on mouse to copy.
11.Right click on mouse to paste.
12.Paste in Y direction as 1m .
13.This is the output.
14.Select the nodes and right click on mouse to copy.
15.Right click on mouse to paste in Y direction as 2m.
16. This is the output.
17.Select the central node and right click on mouse to copy.
18.Right click on mouse to paste. .
19.Paste in Y direction as 3m .
20.This is the output.
21.Connect the nodes with beam cursor to match truss pattern.
22. This is the output of truss.
23. Click on General 🡪 Support 🡪 Create.
24. Click on Create support 🡪 Pinned 🡪 Add.
25.Click on Create support 🡪 Enforced But 🡪 click Fy 🡪 Add.
26.Assign pinned support as shown in figure.
27.Assign Enforced But support as shown in figure.
28. General 🡪 property 🡪 section database 🡪 Indian 🡪 Angle 🡪ISA 90x90X8mm 🡪 Add.
29.Angle 🡪 ISA 20x20X3mm 🡪 Add.
30. Channel 🡪 ISMC 🡪 20x20X3mm 🡪 Add. .
31.Assign ISA 90x90X8mm to vertical and inclined members.
32.Assign ISA 20x20X3mm to top of the truss members.
33.Assign ISMC 200 to bottom of the truss members.
34. Click on General🡪load and definitions 🡪 load case details 🡪Add.
35.Select on Dead🡪 type DL 🡪 Add
36.This is the output .
37. Select DL 🡪 Add.
38. Select selfweight 🡪 - Y direction 🡪 Add.
